RONEN KAUFMAN

Ronen Kaufman - Born  1966 A multidisciplinary artist who works across multiple media  & art disciplines, combining different mediums and techniques to create innovative and versatile art projects & works.     

In describing his work, Kaufman explains, “Real Art is where grief and pain are converted to hope. In my art, I continuously seek to capture the essence of real people and real life, translating them onto the canvas through vibrant colors. Creation, for me, symbolizes existence and the true realization of life in all its richness. The act of creation is a continuous process, representing vital creativity and the celebration of life."

Kaufman's journey into art began in 1990 at the Mirof Art Institute in Tel Aviv. The tragic death of his brother  Ilan, in an air force helicopter accident deeply impacted Kaufamn and propelled his move towards art.  Ilan Ronen Kaufman’s brother, was an architectural student at the Technion in Haifa and a reserve pilot in the Israel Air Force, is brother Ilan inspired Kaufman's exploration of color. Actually, The first colors he used in his artwork were those found by Kaufman in his late brother's apartment following the accident.  

Kaufman's art studies commenced first under the guidance of artist Jacob Mishori in Tel Aviv and continued in his studio in Raanana, with active participation in the Tel Aviv Museum's Art Centre.​
